About The Position

As a Patent Prosecution associate in the Litigation Department, you’ll have the opportunity to work on interesting, challenging, and groundbreaking technologies in collaboration with senior attorneys. You'll also have the opportunity to become involved in patent, trademark, copyright and trade secrets litigation.

Requirements

• 2-4 years of patent litigation experience
• Excellent academic credentials, analytical skills, and verbal and written communication skills
• Admission to the USPTO
• Admission to the North Carolina Bar, or the ability to waive in to the North Carolina Bar

Nice To Haves

• Litigation experience in other intellectual property litigation matters, including trademark, copyright, trade dress, trade secrets, anti-counterfeiting, etc.
• Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or Material Science

Responsibilities

• Preparation and prosecution of patent applications, including appeals before the BPAI
• Prepare patent non-infringement and invalidity analyses and opinions
• Conduct patent due diligence studies
