About The Position

A nationally recognized law firm is seeking a Patent Prosecution Associate Attorney to join its Seattle office. This opportunity is ideal for an attorney interested in preparing and prosecuting sophisticated patent portfolios for innovative technology companies across a broad range of industries.

Requirements

2–4 years of patent prosecution experience
Technical background in electrical engineering, computer science, physics, or a related field required
Strong drafting, analytical, and communication skills
Ability to work directly with inventors, engineers, and in-house legal teams
Excellent academic credentials
J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school required
Registration to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office required
Washington bar admission required or ability to become admitted

Nice To Haves

Experience preparing, filing, and prosecuting U.S. and international patent applications
Experience advising clients on patent portfolio development, patentability analyses, and intellectual property strategy preferred
Experience working with emerging technologies, software, electronics, semiconductors, artificial intelligence, or related technologies is a plus
