About The Position

We're seeking an experienced Intellectual Property Litigation Paralegal to support attorneys handling federal patent infringement litigation, as well as trademark and copyright infringement matters. This role focuses on litigation from pre-suit strategy through trial and resolution-not patent prosecution or USPTO/PTAB practice. You'll manage complex federal litigation matters by maintaining case calendars and deadlines, drafting and proofreading pleadings, motions, discovery, and trial documents, coordinating electronic filings, organizing case files, supporting discovery and document review, preparing exhibits for depositions, Markman hearings, mediations, hearings, and trial, and communicating professionally with clients, opposing counsel, courts, and vendors. The ideal candidate understands the unique demands of patent litigation and can confidently manage multiple matters while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of federal intellectual property litigation paralegal experience
  • Experience supporting patent infringement litigation in federal court strongly preferred
  • Candidates with significant trademark or copyright infringement litigation experience will also be considered
  • Experience with federal court filings and procedures
  • Experience with PACER and CM/ECF
  • Experience with Federal Rules of Civil Procedure (FRCP)
  • Experience with Federal Rules of Evidence (FRE)
  • Experience researching and following local court rules and individual judge procedures
  • Experience managing litigation calendars and critical deadlines
  • Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills
  • High attention to detail while managing multiple active matters
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal practice management software
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment while collaborating effectively with attorneys

Nice To Haves

  • Patent infringement litigation experience, including familiarity with claim charts
  • Familiarity with Markman hearings
  • Familiarity with patent-related discovery
  • Experience in multiple federal district courts (particularly the Eastern District of Pennsylvania)
  • Trial preparation experience

Responsibilities

  • Maintain case calendars and deadlines
  • Draft and proofread pleadings, motions, discovery, and trial documents
  • Coordinate electronic filings
  • Organize case files
  • Support discovery and document review
  • Prepare exhibits for depositions, Markman hearings, mediations, hearings, and trial
  • Communicate professionally with clients, opposing counsel, courts, and vendors
  • Review the docket and monitor new filings
  • Prioritize deadlines across active federal litigation matters
  • Coordinate with attorneys on upcoming motions, discovery, and case strategy
  • Prepare pleadings, exhibits, and filing packages for submission through CM/ECF
  • Track deadlines under the Federal Rules and local court rules
  • Maintain organized electronic case files
  • Coordinate with court personnel and vendors
  • Assist with discovery and trial preparation
  • Ensure every filing is accurate, timely, and compliant
  • Update case status
  • Confirm upcoming deadlines
  • Keep the litigation team aligned across multiple active matters
