About The Position

Dunlap Bennett & Ludwig is seeking a Litigation Associate Attorney to join our Commercial and IP Litigation Team. This is an opportunity to represent individuals and businesses in high-stakes matters across state and federal courts, handling cases from inception through trial and appeal. We welcome candidates at all experience levels, from attorneys early in their careers who are passionate about litigation, to experienced practitioners ready to take on complex matters independently. What matters most is excellent writing ability, sharp analytical thinking, and a genuine drive to advocate for clients. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, is comfortable in the courtroom, and is committed to delivering outstanding results for individuals and businesses alike. DBL provides mentorship and hands-on training to help attorneys at every stage develop into skilled, confident litigators.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
  • Active member in good standing of the bar of any U.S. jurisdiction.
  • Strong legal research, analytical, and writing skills.
  • Sharp intellect, sound judgment, and a willingness to learn new areas of law quickly.
  • Advanced organizational and communication skills, with the ability to track projects to completion, take ownership of work product, and collaborate effectively in a team environment.
  • Strong attention to detail.

Nice To Haves

  • STEM Degree preferred.
  • Litigation experience preferred; however, candidates with strong legal fundamentals and a genuine passion for courtroom advocacy are encouraged to apply.
  • Comfort appearing in court, arguing motions, and managing hearings.
  • Prior clerkship, internship, or externship experience in a litigation setting.
