IP Design Engineering Intern, Design Verification (Fall 2026)
About The Position
This internship role is for those individuals who are interested in the area of design verification. An ideal candidate would be required to perform various duties associated in the art of design verification by utilizing modern tools/methodologies. Our Interns & Co-ops are our entry-level talent pipeline for GF across the globe. Our goal is to provide students with a meaningful work experience that will equip them with the skills to embark on a career in the fast-paced and growing semiconductor industry after graduation. Requirements
- At least a sophomore at time of application and actively pursuing a Bachelor’s, master’s degree in electrical, Electronics and/or Computer Engineering major or related field through an accredited degree program during the time of internship with Computer architecture and VLSI Design as an important and primary part of the curriculum.
- At least an overall 3.0 GPA and be in good academic standing.
- Good communication skills and an uncanny ability to document various aspects of process/methodologies.
- English (Written & Verbal)
- Knowledge or understanding UNIX OS, Assembly Programming.
- Curiosity to learn new tools/languages
- Ability to work at least 20 hours per week during the internship.
Nice To Haves
- Prior related internship or co-op experience
- Demonstrated prior leadership experience in the workplace, school projects, competitions, etc.
- Project management skills, i.e., the ability to innovate and execute on solutions that matter; the ability to navigate ambiguity

- Perform various tasks associated with Design Verification RISCV architecture Processors/Cores
- Reviewing Design and RISCV Standard Specifications
- Test Plan Creation
- Tests Creation
- Test Case Debug
- Coverage Closure
- Modeling, Flow and Methodology development
- Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs.
