Engineering Intern — Summer/Fall 2026

Revise RoboticsNew York, NY
Onsite

About The Position

Revise Robotics is automating laptop refurbishment end-to-end, involving a robot arm that picks up, opens, turns on, wipes, diagnoses, fixes, and prepares used laptops for their next owners. The company is seeking an Engineering Intern for Summer/Fall 2026 who has demonstrated unusual and exceptional skills in a specific area, rather than being broadly well-rounded. The internship will be in-person at their Dumbo office for 10–12 weeks, with a flexible start date. Interns will work directly with the CTO and CEO, alongside the core team, on projects tailored to their strengths.

Requirements

  • Has done something genuinely unusual and is good at it
  • Built a robot that does something weird and it actually works
  • Reverse-engineered firmware, written custom HID devices, or has opinions about USB-C alt modes
  • Trained a vision model on a dataset collected yourself because nothing existed
  • Shipped a hardware project where the mechanical, electrical, and software all had to work together and you did all three
  • Deep knowledge of something adjacent we'd never think to ask about — dry ice cleaning, capacitive sensing, industrial machine vision, BIOS internals, low-FPS visual servoing, battery safety
  • Done something on your own time that a reasonable person would describe as "weird" or "obsessive"

Responsibilities

  • Work on whatever part of the pipeline your background makes you particularly formidable at
  • Vision under adversarial lighting
  • End-effector design for laptop manipulation
  • Autonomous BIOS navigation
  • Reward shaping for cable insertion
