As a development engineer working on our team, your primary responsibility will be expanding a framework for making Apple products more personalized and intelligent in the context of Maps and Locations. You will work closely with designers and engineers across Apple to add new features and build the best proactive mapping and recommendations experience.

Requirements

• Proficient iOS, macOS, or watchOS developer
• Ability to debug application performance using various tools and techniques
• Understanding and developing shared codebases between different operating systems
• BS and 5+ years of industry experience
• Advanced knowledge of Objective-C, Swift, C++, or C (listed in order of preference)
• Experience with multi-threaded and multi-process designs, performance analysis, and optimization
• Experience working on developer-facing frameworks or libraries
• Track record of shipping products on tight deadlines with high quality
• Solid understanding of fundamental computer science concepts such as object-oriented programming and design skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Aptitude for crafting user and developer interfaces
• Experience with and a passion for personalized recommendations
• Experience with Systems Programming (frameworks/libraries/daemons)
• Familiarity with Machine Learning concepts and technologies
