Requirements

• BS and 5+ years of industry experience
• Advanced knowledge of Objective-C, Swift, C++, or C (listed in order of preference)
• Experience with multi-threaded and multi-process designs, performance analysis, and optimization
• Experience working on developer-facing frameworks or libraries
• Track record of shipping products on tight deadlines with high quality
• Solid understanding of fundamental computer science concepts such as object-oriented programming and design skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Nice To Haves

• Experience with and a passion for personalized recommendations
• Experience with Systems Programming (frameworks/libraries/daemons)
• Familiarity with Machine Learning concepts and technologies

Responsibilities

• Expanding a framework for making Apple products more personalized and intelligent in the context of Maps and Locations.
• Work closely with designers and engineers across Apple to add new features and build the best proactive mapping and recommendations experience.
• Debug application performance using various tools and techniques.
• Deeply impact the UX through constant communication with the Human Interface team.
• Understand and develop shared codebases between different operating systems (iOS, macOS, watchOS, and tvOS).
