About The Position

Windsor Laurelwood Center for Behavioral Medicine is seeking a Full-Time Master's Level PHP or IOP Counselor. As a member of the multi-disciplinary treatment team, the Therapist provides clinical services within Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) and Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) settings utilizing evidence-based therapeutic interventions within a biopsychosocial framework. Responsibilities include conducting psychosocial and substance use assessments, developing individualized treatment plans, facilitating therapeutic and psychoeducational groups, providing individual and family therapy, conducting crisis intervention, coordinating care with internal and external providers, and leading discharge planning activities. The therapist maintains accurate clinical documentation, collaborates with multidisciplinary treatment teams, and supports positive patient outcomes while ensuring compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards. Hybrid remote work may be available based on departmental needs and performance expectations.

Requirements

• MSW or Master's degree in Counseling from an accredited college or university
• Must possess one of the following in order to qualify: LSW, LISW, LPC or LPCC issued by the State of Ohio
• Two years previous experience in a mental health or substance abuse treatment facility with direct experience with group therapy, crisis intervention, and treatment planning required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct psychosocial, mental health, and substance use assessments and determine appropriate level of care.
• Develop, implement, monitor, and revise individualized treatment plans.
• Facilitate psychoeducational, process, and skills-based group therapy sessions.
• Provide individual, family, and supportive counseling sessions.
• Conduct crisis intervention, safety planning, and risk assessments as needed.
• Coordinate care with physicians, referral sources, insurance providers, community resources, and family members.
• Develop discharge plans and ensure continuity of care through appropriate referrals and communication.
• Complete clinical documentation, utilization reviews, treatment updates, and compliance requirements.
