About The Position

The IONM Specialist II performs complex Neurodiagnostic studies in the operative environment under occasional guidance. Has knowledge of advanced Neurosurgical, Vascular, ENT, and Orthopedic procedures and understand the anatomical structures at risk. Requirements

  • Certification in Neurophsiologic Intraoperative Monitoring - American Board of Registration of Eletoencephalograpic and Evoked Potential Technologists
  • Relevant Work Experience
  • 2 years of experience
  • Graduate of an approved discipline specific program

Responsibilities

  • Performs complex multi-modality intraoperative procedures with the ability to collect data pertinent to the interpretation of test results.
  • Review planned intraoperative procedure and orders for monitoring to determine the structures at risk relative to patient history/pre-existing conditions and monitoring requested.
  • Teaches and mentors students as assigned by Team Leader.
  • Serve as a departmental point of contact in the absence of the Team Leader and provide team with daily logistical and technical direction.
