About The Position

This position is required for the deferred exam period taking place at MACDONALD CAMPUS. Employment is restricted to registered GRADUATE STUDENTS at McGill University. As part of the application in Workday, please upload a summary of past experience as invigilators at McGill, as well as your AVAILABILITY during the Exam period. The exam period is August 19, 2026. A mandatory training session is required a day prior to the start of the exam period.

Requirements

• Must be registered as a Graduate Student at McGill.
• Punctuality - work shift starts 30 minutes prior to scheduled start time of exams.
• Advanced (level 3 on a scale of 0-4) English proficiency for verbal and written communication.

• Previous invigilating experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the examination room prior to each session to specific requirements as well as ensuring that equipment and facilities are functioning properly.
• Assist professors with the distribution of their exams.
• Ensure that only students with valid identification enter the examination room.
• Monitor student activity to ensure exam integrity is maintained.
• Assists professors in obtaining student signatures on sign-in sheets.
• Escort students to the lavatory.
• Ensure that when the exam has officially ended students stop writing.
• Assist professors with the collection of exams.
• Ensure the examination room is cleaned and empty after examination.
• Photocopying.
• Other related duties as assigned.
