About The Position

Contrarian Thinking Capital is seeking a Head of Investor Relations to manage the capital side of their early-stage venture fund. This role will be responsible for raising capital, maintaining relationships with limited partners (LPs), and overseeing the operational aspects of the fund. The position involves driving the LP pipeline from initial contact to signed documents, serving as a primary point of contact for LPs, producing informative communications, and coordinating fund operations to ensure they are audit-ready. This role acts as a liaison between the General Partners, LPs, and fund administration, collaborating with the investment team, finance, legal, and media/community teams.

Requirements

  • Experience raising capital and understanding how allocators think.
  • Familiarity with fund operations such as capital calls, distributions, subscription documents, LPAs, fund administration, and DDQs.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills: ability to build trust quickly, read a room, handle sensitive conversations with discretion, and make partners feel well-served.
  • Precise writing skills: clear, credible, and on-brand communications.
  • High level of organization: attention to detail and ability to build clean systems.
  • Ability to represent the brand, moving between approachable and institutional registers.
  • Discreet and trustworthy, capable of handling confidential financial and investor information.
  • Takes ownership of outcomes rather than tasks.
  • Comfortable in a small team environment, being a center of gravity and hands-on.
  • Direct communication style and welcoming of the same in return.
  • Desire to help build a fund, not just administer one.

Responsibilities

  • Own the capital side of the fund: raising it, keeping it, and running the operations behind it.
  • Drive the LP pipeline from first contact to signed subscription docs.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for limited partners.
  • Produce communications to keep LPs informed.
  • Coordinate fund operations to ensure they are clean and audit-ready.
  • Work closely with the investment team, finance, legal, and media and community teams.

Benefits

  • 100% Company-paid health, dental, and vision for all full-time Crew Members with an option to add any dependents.
  • Unlimited PTO Policy (with approval from your Direct Support)
  • 8 paid US holidays
  • On-time direct deposit pay 2x/month
  • Option to enroll in a 401(k) plan with competitive match options
  • Employee-only co-invest opportunities
