About The Position

Contrarian Thinking Capital is seeking a Head of Investor Relations to manage the capital side of their early-stage venture fund. This role is responsible for driving the LP pipeline, serving as a primary contact for limited partners, producing investor communications, and coordinating fund operations to ensure they are clean and audit-ready. The position requires close collaboration with the General Partners, investment team, finance, legal, and media/community teams. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in capital raising, a strong understanding of fund operations, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, exceptional organization, and the ability to represent the brand effectively while maintaining discretion and trustworthiness.

Requirements

  • Prior experience in raising capital and being part of real fundraises.
  • Understanding of how allocators think and the difference between a meeting and a commitment.
  • Familiarity with capital calls, distributions, subscription documents, LPAs, fund administration, and DDQs.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, ability to build trust quickly, read a room well, and handle sensitive conversations with discretion.
  • Ability to write with precision, clarity, credibility, and on-brand.
  • Highly organized with a focus on clean systems.
  • Ability to represent the brand and move between approachable and institutional communication registers.
  • Discreet and trustworthy, capable of handling confidential information.
  • Takes ownership of outcomes rather than tasks.
  • Comfortable in a small team environment, being a center of gravity and hands-on.
  • Direct communication style and welcoming of the same in return.

Responsibilities

  • Drive the LP pipeline from first contact to signed subscription documents.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for limited partners.
  • Produce communications to keep limited partners informed.
  • Coordinate fund operations to ensure they are clean and audit-ready.
  • Work closely with the investment team, finance, legal, and media/community teams.
  • Represent the brand effectively, balancing approachable and institutional communication styles.
  • Handle confidential financial and investor information with discretion and trustworthiness.
