About The Position

Meritage Homes is seeking future leaders for its internship program, designed to provide a deep understanding of the company's operations and strategy. This full-time summer, part-time school year internship focuses on Investor Relations and Sustainability & Corporate Responsibility (S&CR). The intern will gain exposure to financial reporting, data analysis, and strategic projects, working closely with various internal teams and presenting recommendations to senior leadership. The program emphasizes practical application of classroom knowledge, cross-functional collaboration, and personal development within a growing national organization.

Requirements

Actively enrolled in a degree program from a regionally accredited university or college

Responsibilities

Learn internal information, help with data entry and data gathering
Opportunity to work with procurement, accounting and finance teams within Meritage Homes
Exposure to investor relations and putting together financial binders with high profile exposure to the executive management team
Research S&CR best practices
Work on earnings & board presentations
Track peer earnings and news
Complete ad-hoc projects and reports to support the VP of Investor Relations and the Investor Relations Manager, as needed
Work closely with internal business leaders to learn the homebuilding industry, the Meritage business model and an assigned functional area such as construction, land, marketing, operations, purchasing, finance, human resources, etc.

Participate in cross-functional projects involving other interns and business leaders centered around current business challenges
Present real world business recommendations to senior leadership that can help drive our strategy
Write a paper focusing on the experience or another assigned topic
