About The Position

Merus is hiring an Investor Relations Analyst to support investor onboarding, capital activity, reporting, tax compliance, and data management across active and prospective investors. The role requires meticulous data management, process execution, and quality control to ensure capital calls, distributions, investor records, and reports are accurate before reaching stakeholders. The Analyst will maintain data integrity across investor systems and portals, reconcile information across platforms, and support the preparation and delivery of investor reports and communications. The role works closely with Development, Legal, Marketing, Treasury, and other Real Estate teams. While primarily analytical and systems-driven, it also supports investor inquiries and engagement initiatives, providing strong exposure to the Merus business and real estate capital markets.

  • Demonstrated initiative to learn and deepen understanding of investor relations processes, real estate fundamentals, and capital administration.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Real Estate, Accounting, or a related field required.
  • 1–3 years of experience in investor relations, real estate, finance, fund administration, accounting, or a related business function.
  • Advanced Excel proficiency required, including lookups, pivot tables, data validation, and conditional formatting; PowerPoint proficiency preferred.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with CRM or investor portal platforms such as Juniper Square, DealPath, Yardi, or similar preferred.
  • Experience in a compliance-driven, audit-sensitive, or regulated reporting environment is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and validate investor records in the investor portal, including contacts, entities, payment instructions, and portal access, ensuring information is accurate and current.
  • Reconcile investor data across CRM, fund trackers, and financial reports on a daily and weekly cadence, identifying and resolving discrepancies before they reach stakeholders.
  • Follow data entry protocols and quality-control checklists for all portal updates, capital transactions, and record changes.
  • Support project capitalization by issuing notices, tracking equity requirements, and accurately recording capital calls in accordance with defined workflows.
  • Enter and validate distribution details in the investor portal, ensuring payments are recorded accurately and on time.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to execute treasury management requests, including equity requirements, capital inflows, and investor distributions, with precision and timeliness.
  • Assist in the assembly and distribution of quarterly and annual investor reports, ensuring consistency across source documents, financial models, and presentation materials.
  • Support annual K-1 tax reporting through document preparation, investor communication, delivery coordination, and organized record retention following established SOPs.
  • Assist with investor presentations, call materials, case studies, and ad hoc reporting requests, ensuring accuracy and alignment with approved data sources.
  • Provide responsive, professional support to investor inquiries by phone, email, and scheduled meetings.
  • Assist with updates to marketing materials for current offerings, including pitch decks and opportunity summaries, ensuring consistency with approved data and branding standards.
  • Support investor engagement initiatives, including events, roadshows, webinars, and investor meetings, as directed.
  • Research market trends and use data to identify new ways for investor relations to engage current and prospective investors.
