About The Position

Sterling Medical is seeking a highly professional, personable, and organized Investor and Employer Relations Representative to serve as a primary relationship contact for investors, employer membership clients, prospective clients, and community partners. This role goes beyond traditional customer service: the representative regularly visits investors and employer groups, listens to concerns and requests, identifies ways to improve their experience, and relays important information to Sterling administration. Regular travel to investor and employer locations, Sterling facilities, sales meetings, and events is required. The representative must have reliable transportation and a valid driver's license, be comfortable traveling regularly, and be willing to travel overnight occasionally when necessary.

  • Professional in appearance and communication.
  • Comfortable speaking with executives and frontline employees.
  • Strong listening skills.
  • Organized and dependable, with attention to detail and strong follow-through.
  • Confident without being pushy and able to handle difficult conversations professionally.
  • Discreet and trustworthy, with sound judgment and the ability to protect confidential information.
  • Comfortable working independently and developing long-term relationships.
  • Comfortable using CRM technology such as HubSpot.
  • Able to recognize when an issue needs to be escalated.
  • Positive and solutions-oriented.
  • Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
  • Willing and able to travel regularly, including occasional overnight travel when necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain professional relationships with Sterling Medical investors, including conducting regular in-person visits, gathering feedback, communicating approved company updates, documenting interactions, and following up on questions.
  • Maintain confidentiality regarding company, investor, financial, personnel, and strategic information.
  • Visit employer membership clients regularly and develop relationships with owners, executives, HR representatives, benefits administrators, managers, and other key contacts.
  • Gather employer feedback about employee utilization, service concerns, membership questions, and improvement opportunities; identify potential needs for additional Sterling services.
  • Help employers promote Sterling benefits to employees, assist with employee questions, and direct unresolved issues to the appropriate department.
  • Identify and promptly communicate signs of employer dissatisfaction or possible membership cancellation to administration.
  • Coordinate and support membership launches for newly enrolled employer groups, including meetings, employee benefit presentations, explaining services, answering enrollment questions, distributing materials, coordinating with clinics and administration, and post-launch follow-up.
  • Identify and help resolve problems during the first several weeks of a new membership.
  • Attend employer health fairs, benefit fairs, open enrollment events, employee meetings, and other company and community events; represent Sterling professionally and support presentations, educational materials, promotional activities, and employee engagement.
  • Develop relationships with community and business leaders and help identify employer prospects and partnership opportunities.
  • Participate in employer sales calls and meetings when requested, assist with presentations and demonstrations, provide client feedback to improve the sales process, and help prospective employers understand implementation and ongoing support.
  • Assist with follow-up after sales meetings and support the transition from prospect to signed employer, membership launch, and ongoing relationship management.
  • Promptly document investor and employer interactions in HubSpot, including visit details, contacts, meeting purpose, discussion, questions, concerns, complaints, requests, opportunities, commitments, follow-up responsibilities and deadlines, and outcomes.
  • Provide regular reports to administration on investor and employer concerns, complaints, unresolved issues, service requests, additional-service opportunities, potential cancellations, accounts requiring executive attention, sales opportunities, launch status, follow-ups, and recurring trends.
  • Immediately communicate urgent or sensitive issues rather than waiting for scheduled reporting.
  • Manage travel efficiently, coordinate multiple visits in an area, and travel to investor and employer locations, Sterling facilities, sales meetings, and events.
