Investor (AI / Robotics)

The role at Samsung Next is focused on investing in startups in technology-heavy areas such as artificial intelligence and machine learning. The Investor position offers a unique opportunity for individuals to establish a career as a venture investor, with a three-year development program provided by Samsung Next. This role involves working closely with experienced Managing Directors to develop venture investment skills and gain exposure to a high quantity of deals. The position requires a technical background and a genuine passion for technology and startups. Regular in-office days in Mountain View, CA, as well as occasional evening and early morning meetings, are required due to the global nature of the work.

• Source investment opportunities in AI, robotics, edge infrastructure, blockchain, healthtech, mediatech, and fintech
• Evaluate early-stage investment opportunities through thorough due diligence
• Communicate investment cases effectively from deal discussion through deal closure
• Contribute to learnings and insights through written investment memos and active participation in deal discussion
• Provide a supportive and responsive experience to founders and builders
• Possess an undergraduate or advanced degree in engineering or a technically related field
• Have 3+ years of technical experience
• Have knowledge and experience in AI, robotics, edge/cloud infrastructure, and/or blockchain
• Be intellectually curious and passionate about technology and startups
