Throughout the Co-Op period, the Co-Op will meet with our executive leadership team, network with employees and interns, and participate in meetings with public companies and analysts. We are devoted to finding, selecting, and training Co-Ops who will make a positive impact on our company while offering a full learning experience. Our Co-Op will work alongside a lean, proven team of investment professionals, gaining technical and analytical skills. A cover letter is requested with your application. In your cover letter, please communicate why you are interested in this position, along with what you will uniquely bring to this position. Please detail any investment experience gained thus far through course work, investment clubs, internships or similar experiences. A short writing sample is required along with your application . The sample does not need to directly address an investment topic, but rather, the sample must demonstrate your ability to organize your thoughts and communicate an idea in writing. Requirements

  • This Co-Op is for currently enrolled Northeastern University undergraduate and graduate students who are independent and self-motivated, with a strong and demonstrated interest in the investment markets and U.S. equities in particular.
  • Major: Finance, Economics, Management or related majors minimum GPA requirement of 3.0.
  • Intellectual curiosity and independence of thought
  • A passion for financial markets and up to date knowledge of the current investing environment
  • Superior quantitative and analytical abilities
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to express facts and ideas clearly both verbally and in writing
  • Strong ability to generate and manipulate data, as these abilities are integral components of the portfolio management process
  • Good judgment and professionalism in both work products and interactions
  • Competency with Microsoft Office’s Excel; strong familiarity with either Bloomberg or Factset is very helpful.
  • To be eligible for this program, you must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a permanent basis
  • Pursuing a bachelor’s or graduate degree, with an expected graduation date between December 2026 and June 2028

Responsibilities

  • Learning the basics of equity research and equity portfolio management
  • Performing quantitative and qualitative analysis on current portfolios and prospective investments, which may include any or all of the following: financial modeling, forecasting, and valuation analysis
  • Data collection and manipulation for investment factors and characteristics
  • Investment strategy research, including identification of competitive advantages and risks
  • operational due diligence, for example, meeting with publicly traded companies, other internal investment professionals, risk management teams, and/or attending investor events
  • utilization of investment databases such as Factset and/or Bloomberg
  • participating in and summarizing investment meetings
  • writing of investment reports
  • assisting with research
  • communicating insights with the equity research team
