Wellington Management•Boston, MA
•$80,000 - $150,000•Hybrid

About The Position

Working closely with the Head of Investment Talent, the Investment Talent Analyst helps build and execute initiatives that strengthen how investors develop, perform, and expand their impact at Wellington. The role combines strategic thinking and design with hands-on implementation and ongoing ownership of related processes. The analyst contributes to shaping and advancing the investment talent strategy by translating its vision into practical frameworks, recommendations, and processes. This includes gathering information, identifying patterns, drawing initial conclusions, and developing proposals for discussion and refinement, while building an understanding of the broader vision and advancing work with increasing independence. The work spans the broader investment ecosystem, including investor roles and capabilities, engagement and operating models across investment and partner teams, hiring and assessment, compensation, and the tools and resources that support investors. The analyst helps design and connect these elements so responsibilities, processes, and incentives reinforce one another and support the investment talent strategy. Wellington employees work from offices four days a week, with flexibility to work remotely one day a week. The role's stated base salary range is USD 80,000–150,000. Employees are eligible for salary, variable compensation, and benefits; other rewards may include a discretionary Corporate Bonus and/or incentives, if eligible.

Requirements

  • Initiative and drive to advance work proactively, anticipate next steps, and bring proposed solutions and recommendations to discussions.
  • Ability to work independently within agreed direction, seek input at useful points, and recognize decisions requiring broader discussion.
  • Creativity and practical problem-solving skills, including translating ideas into useful and workable approaches.
  • Organization and execution skills to manage multiple priorities, maintain attention to detail, and follow work through analysis, implementation, and ongoing ownership.
  • Ability to translate ideas into practical, repeatable processes with clear ownership and handoffs, and improve them based on feedback and experience.
  • Clear, succinct communication and effective collaboration with colleagues across functions and levels.
  • Receptiveness to feedback and ability to adapt and deepen understanding of intended outcomes.
  • Discretion and professionalism in handling sensitive investor and talent information.

  • Partner with investment and other teams to understand needs, incorporate perspectives, coordinate contributions, identify dependencies, and raise questions or trade-offs for discussion.
