About The Position

Lockheed Martin Aeronautics is undergoing a digital transformation, and this role will be central to the Sustainment team's efforts in leading Investment Project Engineering. The position involves acting as an Authority and Facilitator for current and future year discretionary resource project and portfolio planning, aligning with strategic priorities across the enterprise. On a project-by-project basis, the engineer will function as a Project/Systems Engineer, collaborating with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to define problem statements, document technical and process CONOPs, business requirements, project business cases, execution strategies, roadmaps, and Integrated Master Schedules (IMS). This role requires a high level of executive engagement and is ideal for candidates with experience in planning, managing, and overseeing multi-year, business-critical programs or projects, demonstrating a history of high accountability, responsibility, and organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education
  • Systems/Project Engineering Experience, specifically in understanding and defining the problem, then collaborating to implement full lifecycle plans to address the problem across People, Process and Tools.
  • Program or Project management experience (cost/budgeting, schedule, risk evaluation/mitigation, & project execution)
  • Experience in Earned Valued Management, metrics and process management
  • Demonstrated collaboration and teaming skills at all levels of the organization and work experience developing effective stakeholder and partner relationships
  • Must be a US Citizen for consideration due to security clearance requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Act as Authority and Facilitator Over Current and Future Year Discretionary Resource Project and Portfolio Planning to "Plan it Like a Program."
  • Partner across the enterprise to align on strategic priorities.
  • Act as Project/Systems Engineer on a Project by Project Basis.
  • Partner with functional SME(s) to document the Problem Statement, Technical and Process CONOPs, business requirements, project business case, execution strategy, roadmap & IMS.
