About The Position

Alpha Theory is seeking an early-career professional for its Client Experience team. This role offers a unique opportunity to work directly with portfolio managers and analysts at hedge funds and asset managers, helping them improve their investment decisions using Alpha Theory's platform and proprietary AI answer engine, Annie. The position involves consultative guidance, benchmarking, best practice sharing, and long-term relationship building. It is ideal for individuals who are curious about markets, learn quickly, adapt easily, take coaching well, and possess the emotional intelligence and professionalism to engage with sophisticated investment professionals. The role provides exposure to diverse investment processes, deep expertise in position sizing and portfolio construction, and experience with AI in finance.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree, or graduating by May 2027 (Finance, Economics, Math, Accounting, MIS, or related fields preferred)
0–3 years of professional experience; internships count
Strong analytical skills and comfort working with data
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Demonstrated interest in AI, including hands-on experience using AI tools and a desire to pair your own expertise with AI to produce high-quality work at scale
Willingness to travel occasionally to meet clients

Responsibilities

Own a portfolio of client relationships, acting as their day-to-day point of contact and trusted advisor.
Monitor engagement and usage data to identify and address adoption risks.
Maintain accurate account records and client notes.
Support renewal conversations and identify expansion opportunities for senior team members.
Understand each client's investment process and how Alpha Theory and Annie integrate.
Assist clients in interpreting data and platform outputs to improve portfolio construction and position sizing.
Share benchmarking insights and best practices across the client base.
Prepare and deliver client reviews, progressing to leading them.
Help clients adopt new Annie capabilities and run training sessions for new users.
Become an expert on new features and explain them clearly to investment professionals.
Resolve client questions, escalating to Product and Engineering when necessary.
Collect and relay client feedback to the product team.
Participate in beta testing and new feature rollouts.
