We are seeking an Investment Policy Analyst to join our Private Client, Investment Policy team. In this role, you will support Investment Counsellors, Portfolio Managers, and their teams by preparing accurate trade instructions, resolving investment policy and trade-related inquiries, and coordinating complex trade analysis and correction activities. The successful candidate will bring strong analytical skills, exceptional attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering outstanding service to our high-net-worth clients.

Requirements

  • Post-secondary education in Business, Finance or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in the financial services industry, with knowledge of mutual funds and investment products such as stocks, bonds, ETFs, GICs, and derivatives.
  • Understanding of investment management principles, portfolio construction, and asset allocation concepts.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and thrive in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

Nice To Haves

  • Completion of, or progress toward, industry designations or courses (e.g. CFA, CIM, CSC) is considered an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare accurate asset allocation instructions and portfolio rebalancing activities for our Private Client managed portfolios.
  • Support the implementation and maintenance of Pool and Segregated portfolio models, ensuring alignment with client objectives, risk profiles, IPS requirements, and compliance standards.
  • Investigate and resolve trade-related inquiries by analyzing issues, recommending solutions, and driving timely resolutions.
  • Perform portfolio market value analysis as it relates to LOI/Adjustment requests, and coordinate the end-to-end correction process with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Provide timely and professional support to Investment Counsellors, Portfolio Managers, their assistants, and other business partners.
  • Review daily integrity reports and contribute to quality control, risk mitigation, and operational excellence initiatives.
  • Participate in special projects, process improvement initiatives, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities.
