About The Position

This role focuses on analyzing investment performance data and communicating findings to various stakeholders including senior management, field teams, and home office teams. The analyst will be involved in performance reporting projects, identifying and resolving reporting defects, and prioritizing enhancements based on feedback. A key part of the role involves performing data quality checks, resolving data errors with vendors, and producing/validating marketing materials for the Field that describe Advisory models and strategies. The analyst will also load data into Field analytical tools like Morningstar and Ycharts to support quantitative analysis. A significant responsibility is to translate complex, technical data into user-friendly deliverables, including process change recommendations, and to report analytical results through written, verbal, and presentation formats. Other responsibilities may be assigned as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, math, statistics, business or related field.
• Understanding of investment accounts including Brokerage, Advisory, Direct-to-fund, etc.
• Understanding of investment vehicles; stocks, bonds, ETFs, Mutual Funds, illiquid alternatives, etc.
• Understanding business processes to include research and data analysis.
• Understanding of various types of investment performance calculations (IRR, TWR) and various performance statistics.
• Understand portfolio risk exposures and benchmark characteristics.
• Knowledge of performance attribution methodologies.
• Expertise in analytical tools such as MS Excel, Business Objects, and PowerBI.
• Proven excellence in problem solving, research, quantitative analysis and analytical working techniques.
• Strong aptitude and desire for learning new platforms, investment products/strategies, analytic and presentation tools, analytic and quantitative techniques.
• Ability to generate new ideas and go beyond the status quo; recognize the need for new or modified approaches.
• Demonstrated ability to gather information systematically; consider a broad range of issues or factors; grasp complexities and perceive relationships among problems or issues; use accurate logic in analysis.
• Initiative to independently prioritize and develop individual deliverables while still being a team player.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver results and recommendations in written, verbal, and presentation form at an appropriate level for a business audience.
• Ability to work effectively with people at all levels.
• This position has been classified as an Associated Person under NMIS guidelines and requires fingerprinting and completion of required form.Non-Registered Fingerprinted - FINRA

Responsibilities

• Summarizes analysis into user-friendly deliverables by translating technical, detailed data into business-appropriate communications and recommendations (including process change recommendations).
• Reports analytical results and recommendations in written, verbal and presentation form.
