About The Position

The Investment Operations Specialist, Centralized Services is responsible for providing investment account management and investment administrative support to Advisors in accordance with their instructions and client needs/requests. This position is part of a Centralized Services team located in the Blue Trust National Office in Alpharetta, GA. Team members will serve client and advisory teams across the country.

Requirements

• Experience and industry knowledge in financial services or accounting with an emphasis on investment acumen
• Ability to make independent judgement as well as take direction from others
• Aptitude and passion for learning to serve others with excellence.
• Intermediate to advanced MS Office skills, especially MS Excel
• Ability to work in a dynamic and flexible office environment.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and organizational and operational efficiency
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written communication
• Strong business mathematical skills and keen attention to detail
• Personal integrity and ability to discreetly handle confidential data.

Nice To Haves

• Prior financial services, investment, or accounting experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Handles portfolio management reconciliation and processing in accordance with Advisor instructions in an accurate and timely manner, including such things as: Verifies client data in Orion. Ensures system portfolio performance is maintained and accurate.
• Participates in the new account set-up process including: Updates new account information in various systems. Ensures accounts are available for trading. Performs account maintenance as needed.
• Provides service support and administration, including: Responds to inquiries from field personnel via phone and e-mail. Educates and/or supplies training aides to field on Investment Department processes. Acts as liaison for all custodial relationships.
• Bears other responsibilities, including: Understands the financial planning philosophy and biblical basis upon which Blue Trust serves its client base and applies these principles in personal finances. Approaches work, interactions, and relationships in a manner consistent with the Company’s Core Values. Maintains the highest Compliance standards by adhering to the Company’s Human Resources guidelines, Compliance policies and procedures, professional designation standards, and industry's regulatory standards to mitigate risk to the company.
