The Investment Operations Consultant II is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely processing, reconciliation, and reporting of investment data across multiple systems and stakeholders. This is a "hybrid" role and the selected candidate will need to work in one of the Chicago offices one day per week. This role spans the full investment lifecycle, from trade capture and broker matching to valuation and financial close, requiring strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and cross-functional collaboration.

Requirements

  • 2 or more years of financial and/or pricing/valuation experience, accounting or internal management reporting experience, preferably in the Investments or Financial Services industries.
  • Basic Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Suite skills
  • SQL and Tableau a plus
  • Aladdin or Clearwater experience a plus
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Good organizational and time management skills
  • Flexible and able to adapt to changing circumstances
  • Solid problem solving and decision-making skills
  • Time management skills and ability to meet deadlines

Responsibilities

  • Resolve data exceptions within specified guidelines when possible, and prompt escalation when needed
  • Security master set-up/review of various investments such as bonds, equities and bank loans
  • Perform preliminary root cause analysis and make recommendations for procedure and control modifications to increase accuracy and efficiency
  • Create/modify/terminate Allstate investment portfolios in all investment systems based on requests provided by the Portfolio Management Group.
  • Communicate with valuation service providers to resolve unpriced securities or prices outside of tolerances
  • Interact with other organizational areas to investigate and resolve data related issues
  • Work effectively in a team environment including participation in cross-team knowledge and awareness
  • Help coordinate and participate in team projects, assignments and team responsibilities such as continual process improvements and strengthening of controls
  • Own and be accountable for execution of responsibilities

Benefits

  • Compensation offered for this role is 62,100.00 - 103,950.00 annually and is based on experience and qualifications.
