About The Position

Using strong quantitative and communication skills, this role will support the Corporate Investment group in the analysis of investment portfolios and related risk management functions including preparing and performing risk governance on public and private securities, preparing comparative investment analysis and developing analytical approaches to portfolio benchmarking and performance. Additionally, this role will assist with the Company's hedging programs by developing and analyzing derivative strategies. This position will work closely with the business units to implement service improvements related to portfolio management. Internship Information: Our Internship program is designed to give students experience with projects and performing tasks within their hired work area. You will be exposed to other areas within the organization by participating in development, culture and volunteer events. This paid internship is 8-10 weeks in length with the possibility of extending hours into the school year. Our internship program holds an 80/10/10 approach, meaning that 80% of your work time will involve performing tasks or working on projects within your hired work area. Another 10% of the time, you will be exposed to learning in other areas within your assigned division to get more corporate experience. Then, the final 10% will be spent in shared experiences across the organization, where you will get to really learn about our culture and work environment.

Requirements

  • Individual pursuing their Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Actuarial Science or related field
  • Related coursework or analytical experience
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to take data from several sources and organize, validate and analyze the data
  • Must be able to work in a collaborative team environment within and outside of Corporate Investments and the ability to work in a positive fashion toward common organization goals
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills required
  • Must have a high level of self-initiative, confidence and be a self-starter
  • Must demonstrate humility and strong adherence to teamwork and collaboration
  • Strong PC proficiency with excellent Excel and PowerPoint skills required
  • Excellent time management skills are necessary
  • Ability to operate effectively with some level of autonomy and self-direction
  • Criminal background check required.
