About The Position

The role of Investment Management Consultant II is to act as a product authority on managed accounts and the associated managed account process. This role focuses on customer experience, retention, and sales associated with Fidelity Managed Accounts in coordination with the client’s Financial Consultant or Wealth Planner. It is a direct customer contact role in which the Investment Management Consultant II will address the most complex managed account sales and client management needs. Specifically, this includes Annual Strategic Reviews, risk mitigation, and acting as Portfolio Advisory Services’ voice to the customer.

Requirements

  • FINRA Series 7 & 66 licenses required or ability to acquire Series 66 upon hire.
  • Hold appropriate state registrations.
  • Minimum 7 years of financial relationship management experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • Deep understanding of managed account industry and Fidelity’s managed offerings.
  • Broad-based knowledge and understanding of financial planning, investments, global economics, and the determinants of market movements.
  • Deep understanding of asset allocation, tax planning, and estate planning to service each client's distinct investment needs.
  • Demonstrated success in strong needs-based consultative sales skills and client/book management skills.
  • Excellent time management, organizational, and phone communication skills, coupled with strong decision-making abilities and sound judgment.
  • Ability to handle a book of 850 clients and approximately $500MM in Portfolio Advisory Services (PAS) AUM.
  • Demonstrated effective practice management capabilities and consultative selling skills to handle a book of business on behalf of Fidelity Wealth and Workplace Advisors, utilizing internal support resources.
  • Effective profiling, funding, investing procedures, risk mitigation and compliance oversight.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a product authority on managed accounts and the associated managed account process.
  • Focus on customer experience, retention, and sales associated with Fidelity Managed Accounts in coordination with the client’s Financial Consultant or Wealth Planner.
  • Address complex managed account sales and client management needs.
  • Conduct Annual Strategic Reviews.
  • Perform risk mitigation.
  • Act as Portfolio Advisory Services’ voice to the customer.
  • Participate in joint phone calls with Financial Consultants and clients during Annual Strategic Reviews, presenting recommendations, supporting retention and at-risk client discussions, and identifying additional sales opportunities.
  • Conduct pre- and post-sales conversations with clients, establishing expectations on performance, fees, portfolio construction, rebalancing and reallocation strategies.
  • Manage a book of 850 clients and approximately $500MM in Portfolio Advisory Services (PAS) AUM.
  • Leverage expertise in the managed money industry and Fidelity's product line to deliver solutions aligned with client needs.
  • Engage clients in response to their needs while leveraging strong practice management skills.
