About The Position
The LAGERS paid investment internship program provides the experience to understand asset allocation, investment strategy, market analysis, and many other components of managing an $11 billion, multi-asset portfolio. Requirements
- Motivated university student within 12 months of graduation with a keen interest in institutional investing.
- Available at least 15 hours per week, with flexibility around classes.
- Driven to grow, eager to sharpen skills, and ready to dive deep into the world of investment management.

- Pursuing a CFA or CAIA certification or a career in business, finance, or analytics.
Responsibilities
- Conducts analysis of investment strategies and vehicles across equities, fixed income, real estate, private equity, and alternative investments.
- Supports the IMR team in conducting qualitative and quantitative due diligence on potential investment opportunities.
- Assists in monitoring the performance of existing investments, updating and maintaining databases, and ensuring data accuracy and integrity for effective decision-making.
- Updates existing financial models and communicates with the investment team the results.
- Prepares reports and presentations for both internal and external stakeholders, summarizing research findings, investment strategies, and performance metrics.
- Stays updated on market trends and economic developments that could impact the fund's investments.
- Works closely with the investment team to support the implementation of investment strategies.
