About The Position

The Investment Consultant role is within Fidelity's Investor Center, focusing on developing customized financial plans for clients using a range of products and services. This role emphasizes engaging with existing clients and warm leads, rather than sourcing new customers, to provide investment solutions and grow client relationships. The position requires sound judgment, product knowledge, and proficiency with Fidelity's planning tools. The role is based in an Investor Center and requires in-person attendance.

Requirements

  • FINRA Series 7 & 66 licensed and hold appropriate state registrations, OR ability to acquire Series 66 upon hire
  • Comprehensive understanding of various investment solutions, and ability to educate customers on the values and differences of each
  • Outstanding communication and consultative skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment
  • Fidelity will not provide immigration sponsorship for this position.

Responsibilities

  • Develop customized financial plans through a wide range of products and services using sound judgment, keen knowledge of products, and Fidelity‘s planning tools.
  • Engage with existing clients and warm leads, focusing on providing investment solutions and growing relationships.
  • Utilize Fidelity’s guidance tools to engage in financial planning discussions by presenting solutions and service offerings that best meet client needs.
  • Prepare for and conduct efficient one-on-one appointments using technology to make the best use of the client’s time.
  • Plan for post-appointment follow-up.
  • Grow relationships through proactive outreach, seeking to understand clients’ goals and objectives.
  • Refer clients to a wealth management partner based on needs and financial complexity.
  • Work directly with clients to help them make investment decisions that are in their best interest.
  • Effectively navigate Fidelity’s planning and guidance tools, presenting and implementing solutions that best meet the client’s needs.
