About The Position

Our client, a full-service investment bank with more than 125 years of history and a global platform spanning securities brokerage, trading, research, underwriting, and corporate advisory services, is seeking a Vice President to join their Investment Banking team in New York, focused on the Technology sector. This role suits a strategic thinker with a strong background in complex financial transactions — a self-starter ready to work hard in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple projects at once. Experience leading sell-side M&A transactions is required. Key Focus Areas The group delivers deep sector knowledge across several key technology verticals: Enterprise Software: Advising software-as-a-service (SaaS) and corporate data systems companies Artificial Intelligence: Supporting companies focused on AI infrastructure and intelligence platforms Cybersecurity: Partnering with developers of digital safety and internet defense systems Frontier & Deep Tech: Banking for highly advanced engineering, including Industrial IoT, robotics, and aerospace Climate Tech: Financing innovators building low-carbon infrastructure and sustainable energy solutions Fintech & Consumer Tech: Serving digital financial services and consumer-facing brands or platforms

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 3–6 years of investment banking experience, with Technology sector M&A experience preferred
  • FINRA licenses required: SIE, Series 79, Series 63
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Client Skills: able to win clients' confidence, anticipate and deliver on their needs, and build strong, long-term relationships
  • Time Management: able to organize and prioritize multiple tasks, meet deadlines, manage expectations, and use firm resources efficiently
  • Teamwork: works well within project teams, respectful of all levels of seniority, willing to train and mentor others

Responsibilities

  • Lead execution of M&A, recapitalizations, and capital raises (debt and equity) transactions across Technology verticals
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, managing relationships and delivering financial solutions
  • Oversee the development of detailed financial models, valuation analyses, and presentations
  • Mentor and develop junior team members, fostering a collaborative, high-performance culture
  • Contribute to business development efforts, identifying and pursuing new client opportunities across the group's technology verticals
  • Build sector expertise and represent the firm at industry events and client meetings
