About The Position

Our client, a full-service investment bank with more than 125 years of history and a global platform spanning securities brokerage, trading, research, underwriting, and corporate advisory services, is seeking an Analyst to join their Restructuring / Capital Structure Advisory team in New York. This role suits a highly motivated self-starter with strong technical and analytical skills, ready to support complex financial restructurings and capital structure solutions in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple projects at once.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field required
  • 1–3 years of investment banking, restructuring, or related financial analyst experience
  • FINRA licenses required: SIE, Series 79, Series 63
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain complex financial models, including debt capacity, liquidity, recovery, and valuation analyses supporting restructuring and capital structure advisory engagements
  • Analyze capital structures and evaluate strategic alternatives for financially distressed or stressed companies, including out-of-court restructurings, exchange offers, and Chapter 11 proceedings
  • Prepare confidential information memoranda, management presentations, creditor materials, and other marketing and pitch materials
  • Conduct in-depth industry, company, and financial due diligence
  • Support day-to-day deal execution and coordinate workstreams across deal teams
  • Assist Associates and senior bankers with client-facing deliverables and negotiation materials
  • Mentor and guide incoming Analysts, reviewing their work and helping with onboarding
  • Contribute to business development efforts, including pitch preparation and market research
