About The Position

Nomura's Investment Banking in the Americas provides a vast array of advisory and financing solutions capabilities to corporations and institutions around the world. Our global teams consist of experienced professionals who act as advisory, coverage, and product specialists. Coverage: Financial Sponsors coverage and Industry coverage in areas including Consumer / Retail, Financial Institutions, Healthcare, Technology and Media Services, and Greentech Industrials and Infrastructure Client Financing & Solutions: Product specialists in traditional capital markets and financing functions, including Acquisition & Leveraged Finance, Equity Capital Markets, Risk Solutions, and Debt Capital Markets M&A: Advisory services pertaining to mergers, acquisitions, strategic assignments, and debt and equity advisory

Requirements

Prior ECM investment banking experience
Outstanding academic qualifications
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Strong organizational and time management skills
Outstanding technical and analytical skills
Series 7 or SIE and 63 and 79

Responsibilities

Work closely with clients and execution teams on live transactions, including mergers & acquisitions, divestitures, capital raisings, financings, and derivative transactions
Generate and present ideas at client meetings as a member of a deal team alongside senior bankers
Through financial, structural, and business risk analysis, support transactions and client presentations
Actively participate in the effort to pitch and win new mandates from clients, leverage proprietary content and ideas
Manage Analysts to execute deliverables for clients and support the training and mentoring of junior professionals
