About The Position

Our Client, a global advisory firm, is seeking an experienced Associate to join its Technology Investment Banking team in New York. The role offers significant client interaction, transaction leadership, and exposure to a highly active middle-market technology platform with a strong presence across software, fintech, tech-enabled services, cybersecurity, and digital infrastructure.

Requirements

  • 2-3+ years of investment banking experience, including substantial M&A transaction execution experience.
  • Prior experience within a Technology, TMT, Software, FinTech, or Tech-Enabled Services investment banking practice.
  • Demonstrated ability to independently manage multiple transaction workstreams simultaneously.
  • Advanced financial modeling, valuation, and analytical capabilities.
  • Strong understanding of software and recurring revenue business models.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and client management skills.
  • Proven leadership experience managing and developing junior bankers.
  • Bachelor's degree required.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the execution of M&A transactions, including sell-side, buy-side, recapitalization, and strategic advisory assignments.
  • Manage all aspects of transaction processes, including due diligence, buyer outreach, process coordination, valuation analysis, and negotiation support.
  • Oversee the preparation of client presentations, marketing materials, financial models, valuation analyses, and board materials.
  • Serve as a primary day-to-day contact for clients, private equity investors, legal counsel, and other transaction stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with private equity firms, strategic acquirers, and technology executives.
  • Mentor, train, and manage Analysts, ensuring high-quality execution and professional development.
  • Contribute to the continued growth of the Technology practice through sector expertise, market intelligence, and thought leadership.
