About The Position

Investment Banking Associate – Technology, Media & Telecommunications (TMT) Location: Dallas Position Summary We are seeking a highly motivated Investment Banking Associate to join our Technology, Media & Telecommunications (TMT) team. The Associate will play a key role in executing M&A transactions, capital raising activities, and strategic advisory assignments for clients across the TMT sector. This position offers significant exposure to senior bankers, corporate executives, private equity firms, and institutional investors.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, Engineering, or related field.
  • 3–6 years of investment banking, corporate finance, valuation, transaction advisory, or related experience.
  • Strong understanding of TMT industry trends and business models.
  • Advanced financial modeling and valuation skills.
  • Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and financial databases such as Capital IQ, FactSet, Bloomberg, or PitchBook.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Nice To Haves

  • MBA, CPA, CFA, or equivalent credential preferred but not required.
  • Prior experience executing sell-side and buy-side M&A transactions.
  • Exposure to software, fintech, telecommunications, digital infrastructure, internet, media, semiconductor, or technology-enabled services sectors.
  • Experience working with private equity sponsors and growth-stage companies.

Responsibilities

  • Support the execution of mergers and acquisitions, equity offerings, debt financing, and other strategic transactions.
  • Build and maintain complex financial models, including: DCF valuations Comparable company analyses Precedent transaction analyses LBO models Merger models
  • Conduct industry, market, and company-specific research within the TMT sector.
  • Prepare client presentations, pitch books, confidential information memoranda (CIMs), and management presentations.
  • Coordinate due diligence processes and manage transaction timelines.
  • Interface with clients, attorneys, accountants, and other transaction stakeholders.
  • Review and analyze financial statements, operating metrics, and business plans.
  • Assist in training and mentoring Analysts.

Benefits

  • Salary Range of $150,000 - $200,000
