The Investment Banking Division works on complex financial challenges and transactions, advising on mergers, providing financial solutions for acquisitions, and structuring initial public offerings. The Natural Resources Group is a global team with a significant presence in New York, Houston, Toronto, Calgary, London, Hong Kong, and Buenos Aires, covering Metals & Mining, Chemicals, Power & Utilities, and Energy. The Houston team primarily focuses on Energy transactions. Associates play a key role in developing client relationships, participating on advisory teams, and structuring and executing financial transactions. They are responsible for creating and analyzing financial models, preparing client presentations, managing transaction processes, and assisting in transaction structuring. Associates gain exposure to the firm's businesses and expand their knowledge of the investment banking industry while developing analytical, communication, and marketing skills. They develop financial models, perform company valuation analysis, and are involved in M&A transactions and fixed income and equity issuances. They also organize and prepare presentations on industry trends, assess client situations, provide financial advice, and recommend strategies. Additionally, Associates coordinate with tax advisors, attorneys, and bankers, lead due diligence, and participate in negotiations of legal documentation. They are a vital part of the banking team's investments.
