Investment Banking Analyst - Consumer
About The Position
TD Securities is seeking experienced Analysts to join its Consumer Investment Banking team in New York. The Analyst provides specialized financial and statistical analysis across marketing and transaction execution activities, conducts research and ongoing analysis, prepares supporting documentation, and assists with transaction due diligence. The role works within a deal team under the overall direction of a senior officer and provides a broad range of support to the team. The Analyst helps evaluate clients’ financial situations, industry and market data, and M&A opportunities; values private and public companies; and performs basic to intermediate financial modeling in Excel. The Analyst also contributes to external client proposals and internal underwriting memos and helps prepare client presentations. The role requires maintaining client confidentiality and supporting a respectful workplace in line with Bank policies and guidelines.
Requirements
- Undergraduate degree in Business (Accounting or Finance), Mathematics, or Economics.
- Series 7, 79, and 63 licenses.
- 2–3 years of related experience.
Responsibilities
- Conduct research and ongoing financial and statistical analysis for marketing and transaction execution activities.
- Prepare supporting documentation and assist with transaction due diligence.
- Assist in analyzing clients’ financial situations, industry and market data, and M&A opportunities.
- Assist in valuing private and public companies.
- Perform basic to intermediate financial modeling in Excel.
- Provide input to external client proposals and internal underwriting memos.
- Assist in preparing client presentations.
- Work within a deal team under the overall direction of a senior officer.
- Maintain confidentiality of client information.
- Promote respect for individual employees and adhere to Bank policies and guidelines.
