About The Position

Under general supervision, the Investment Banking Analyst conducts industry research, builds financial models to analyze company projections and potential transactions, drafts offering memorandums for public or private financings, prepares client presentation materials, and works with clients to execute financing or merger transactions. The role is based in New York and supports Stifel’s Clean Energy & Power investment banking practice. Some local, regional, and/or national travel by car or air may be required, up to 10%.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Finance or a related field.
0–2 years of experience as a business analyst or related experience in the brokerage industry.
Experience with financial modeling and analysis, with significant exposure to finance and accounting.
Strong analytical and quantitative skills; knowledge of financial markets, the industry, financial data analysis and reporting, and associated terminology.
Ability to manage time effectively and handle multiple projects and deadlines.
Professionalism, attention to detail, integrity, maturity, intellectual curiosity, initiative, good judgment, accountability, and ability to work in teams.
Excellent conceptualization, presentation, and communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
