Investment Banking Analyst - Energy
About The Position
The Investment Banking Analyst – Energy provides client relationship management and investment banking services, including strategic advisory services to corporate and private equity clients on buy-side and sell-side mergers and acquisitions, debt and equity capital raising, and designated industry-sector coverage. The broader industry coverage includes industrials, financial sponsors, consumer and retail, healthcare, financial institutions, energy, and technology, media and telecom. The analyst works closely with senior CIB professionals and performs assigned duties with some independence. Work includes due diligence, document processing, financial modeling, statistical analysis, research, and presentation development. The analyst also serves on M&A and capital-raising transaction teams, providing credit-underwriting support and preparing information memoranda and management and investor presentations.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science degree.
- Proven analytical ability and attention to detail.
- Solid leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- At least 1 year of related work experience since graduation from an undergraduate program.

Responsibilities
- Work closely with senior CIB professionals.
- Perform assigned duties with some independence, including due diligence, document processing, financial modeling, statistical analysis, research, and presentation development.
- Serve on merger and acquisition and capital-raising transaction teams.
- Provide credit-underwriting support for transaction teams.
- Draft information memoranda.
- Develop management and investor presentations.
