About The Position

Oppenheimer & Co. Inc. is seeking an Analyst to join its Industrials Group in the Baltimore office. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with senior bankers, gaining exposure to sell-side and buy-side advisory, as well as underwriting and placing equity and debt offerings for both public and private companies. The Investment Banking Team provides in-depth industry knowledge and market-based strategies across various sectors, including Industrials, with a focus on high-growth, entrepreneurial, middle-market companies.

Requirements

At least 1 year of experience in investment banking, Industrials experience preferred
Strong Microsoft Excel skills essential
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Elevated attention to detail and consistency in work product
Strong work ethic and team player
Organized and proactive
Series 63, 79 licenses and Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) FINRA registrations required at time of hiring or shortly thereafter

Nice To Haves

Dealogic, CapIQ, Bloomberg and MS Office suite knowledge strongly preferred

Responsibilities

Preparing client presentations, drafting offering memoranda, preparing internal committee memoranda, preparing management and board presentations and other materials for senior bankers as required
Transaction execution involving direct client interaction and communication
Managing client due diligence processes
Conducting extensive financial modeling and valuation
Assessing industry research and trends
Liaise with both internal and external parties (including corporate issuers, financial sponsors, legal counsel, among others) to expand corporate relationships and drive day-to-day deal process
Review and oversee development of financial models, valuation analyses, research
