About The Position

Cerity Partners Ventures (CPV) is hiring an Associate to join its team in Los Angeles. Founded as Touchdown Ventures in 2014, CPV pioneered Venture Capital-as-a-Service for corporations and works with corporate clients to develop and execute innovation strategies. The firm manages more than 15 corporate venture capital funds and has a team of more than 40 investment professionals across Boston, Chicago, Los Angeles, New York, Philadelphia, and San Francisco.

The Associate will source and qualify opportunities for corporate clients to partner with and invest in startups. The role supports investments relevant to food and agriculture, consumer packaged goods, and industrial manufacturing leaders. The team provides client service, strategic insights, commercial impact, and venture capital investment advisory. This role offers mentorship and training from experienced venture capitalists and is based in CPV’s Los Angeles Century City office.

Requirements

• Minimum of a bachelor’s degree.
• Candidates should bring a growth mindset for a professional services environment.
• Successful colleagues are detail-oriented self-starters with natural curiosity about business innovation.
• Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.

Nice To Haves

• Preferably 1–3 years of relevant work experience in consulting, financial services, or startup operating roles.

Responsibilities

• Identify startups for investments and commercial partnerships.
• Meet with entrepreneurs and evaluate their business plans and pitches.
• Develop relationships with founders.
• Track and report on other deal flow generated by the team.
• Research industry sectors, trends, and market dynamics.
• Assist with due diligence and closing transactions.
