Investment Associate 2024: Business Services

Bertram Capital is seeking an Investment Associate to join their Business Services team. The role involves working closely with the firm's Principals and Partners on a small deal team, with exposure to various aspects of private equity investing. Responsibilities include evaluating new platform investments, executing add-on acquisitions, developing investment theses, managing portfolios, and executing deals. The ideal candidate should have 1-3 years of investment banking experience, a strong understanding of financial statements and modeling, and the ability to thrive in an entrepreneurial environment. The expected salary range for this position is $220,000- $250,000 per year.

• Evaluate new platform investments
• Identify and execute add-on acquisitions

• 1-3 years investment banking experience
• Undergraduate degree with a minimum 3.5 GPA or equivalent and high ACT/SAT scores
• Fluency with financial statements, modeling, and capital structure
• Ability to thrive in an entrepreneurial environment and manage multiple work streams and projects concurrently
• Interest and aptitude for involvement in portfolio company strategy and operations
• Strong analytical skills, strategic insight, industry perspective, and intellectual curiosity
• Excellent oral communication skills
• Demonstrated experience working as a productive member of a team
• High proficiency with MS Office products (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)

• Expected salary range: $220,000- $250,000 total annual compensation
