About The Position
Brown Brothers Harriman (BBH) is recruiting analysts for its three-year Investment Research Group (IRG) Analyst Program. Analysts support the IRG in full asset allocation, manager selection and monitoring, risk management, and other investment decisions for client portfolios. They gain exposure to each stage of the investment process, from initial manager screening and due diligence to partnering with investment managers and monitoring existing managers as generalists. BBH manages approximately $50 billion on behalf of high-net-worth, endowment, and foundation clients. IRG conducts investment-universe research and due diligence to identify managers for its portfolios, with a long-term, quality-oriented approach. Its mission is to deliver investment excellence and instill confidence in BBH’s efforts to protect, preserve, and grow client capital.
Requirements
- Track record of exceptional academic performance.
- Strong intellectual curiosity and work ethic.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.

- Exceptional quantitative and analytical capabilities.
- Ability to work successfully in a team-based environment.
Nice To Haves
- Undergraduate class of 2024 or 2025.
- Relevant prior experience in finance-related or highly analytical/quantitative roles, such as investment banking, private equity, investment management, corporate finance, data analysis, or other capital-allocation-related jobs.
Responsibilities
- Conduct due diligence on prospective managers and monitor existing managers.
- Perform financial analysis on prospective and existing managers.
- Participate in on-site and virtual meetings with managers around the globe.
- Communicate with managers and IRG team members to deliver quarterly and annual materials and commentary on managers.
- Assist in creating broader market commentary for internal and external recipients.
- Develop materials presenting IRG’s best thinking to BBH’s Private Banking Investment Oversight Committee, Relationship Managers, and clients of BBH’s multi-family offices.
- Contribute to IRG’s mission of delivering investment excellence and instilling client confidence.
