Investment Analyst
About The Position
The Investment Analyst supports the Head of Investments in managing the company’s investment portfolio through research, monitoring, analysis, and strategic decision support. The role helps ensure the investment function operates with strong compliance oversight and governance, and responds to market and regulatory developments. The position contributes to portfolio monitoring and analysis, investment manager and asset class research, strategic decision preparation, and reporting. It works with senior leadership and the Investment Committee, and coordinates with actuarial, finance, and risk teams to integrate investment insights into broader business planning.
Responsibilities
- Monitor portfolio performance, risk metrics, and exposures, and prepare regular dashboards and commentary for senior leadership.
- Support the Head of Investments in evaluating portfolio positioning against strategic asset allocation and risk constraints.
- Prepare materials for investment manager review meetings and maintain documentation of ongoing oversight.
- Assist with due diligence, including reviewing manager reports, performance data, and ESG disclosures.
- Research external investment managers, funds, and asset classes within the company’s investment risk appetite in support of the Head of Investments.
- Prepare investment proposals, briefing notes, and scenario analyses for strategic decisions by the Head of Investments, CFIO, and Investment Committee.
- Contribute to the development and refinement of investment policies, guidelines, and risk frameworks.
- Support strategic asset allocation reviews through data gathering, modelling, and comparative analysis.
- Produce clear, concise investment reports for internal stakeholders, including senior management, the Investment Committee, and the Board.
- Coordinate with actuarial, finance, and risk teams to integrate investment insights into broader business planning.
- Maintain organised and accurate documentation of research, analyses, and investment decisions.
