The Investigator III acts as a lead worker for ARMS conducting complex audits and investigations in matters of EBT card trafficking for the Food Benefit Program, also known as the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP); in addition to auditing and investigating fraud in all other public assistance programs administered by DHSS. The incumbent is required to work with Law Enforcement agencies as needed to coordinate interagency operations for retailer trafficking cases. They are responsible for preparation of administrative disqualification hearings and prosecution cases and are required to testify in administrative and criminal proceedings. These positions also maintain a sizable caseload and are given ad hoc special assignments and projects.
