The Safe2Say program aims to provide a secure and anonymous channel for Pennsylvania students, parents, teachers, and community members to report safety concerns, focusing on early intervention and prevention through awareness and education. The program manages reports received through a tip line, tracking dispositions, collecting data, and ensuring quality control. Safe2Say Analysts act as primary contacts for individuals with concerns regarding school safety or potentially hazardous situations in or related to Pennsylvania schools. They respond to service requests using various communication systems, including conventional phone, texting, email, and web interfaces, to gather information from the public, students, teachers, and school administrators. Analysts provide resources, references, or connect individuals with emergency response personnel based on the nature of the reported information. They assess situations, gather further details, and ensure appropriate and thorough responses from relevant agencies. This role requires a working knowledge of general law enforcement procedures and crisis line functions, with an emphasis on attention to detail, thoroughness, reliability, responsibility, and dependability.
