This role involves oversight of key compliance-related activities, focusing on establishing and maintaining a culture of compliance. It includes participation in compliance governance, policy development and implementation, training, communication, reporting, internal monitoring, and auditing. The position recommends response, prevention, and disciplinary standards for compliance issues, ensuring alignment with applicable laws, regulations, policies, and ethical standards. Key activities involve coordinating and triaging complaints related to potential allegations of improper behavior, whistleblowing, and improper governmental activities. Under the supervision of the Investigations Unit Manager, this individual will work closely with the Investigations Unit to coordinate, triage, and process complaints for UCSF’s Whistleblower Program, identify and analyze allegations, maintain a case management system, follow up with investigators, assist with data analytics and reporting, promote awareness of the Whistleblower Program, and conduct investigations when workload permits. The Office of Ethics and Compliance (OEC) collaborates with the UCSF community and senior leadership to provide oversight and guidance to compliance functions across the enterprise, fostering a culture of compliance and ethical behavior.
