About The Position

This is a professional position responsible for inspecting medical dispensaries to ensure compliance with regulations established in 381.986, Florida Statutes. The role involves reviewing and auditing all activities related to medical dispensaries to ensure compliance, responding to inquiries, investigating complaints, conducting follow-up inspections, and assisting with inspection activities related to cultivation, processing, dispensing, delivery, storage, and seed-to-sale operations. The position also requires preparing written reports, initiating notices of noncompliance, serving as a point of contact for compliance actions, and providing education to facilities on compliance requirements.

Requirements

  • Proficient in computer skills to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Knowledge of computer data bases.
  • Knowledge and use of the compliance management system and licensing system used by the Agency.
  • Knowledge of laws, legal codes, court procedures and government rules & regulations.
  • Skill in reading and writing.
  • Investigating and researching skills.
  • Ability to find information and identify essential information.
  • Ability to structure or classify multiple pieces of information.
  • Ability to use logic and analysis to identify the strengths and weaknesses of different approaches.
  • Skill in inspecting and evaluating the quality of products.

  • One (1) year of professional experience in conducting investigations, regulatory or compliance inspections.
  • A valid Driver's License.
  • Participation in direct deposit.
  • Satisfactorily complete a background investigation and fingerprinting.
  • Ability to learn and communicate effectively, orally and in writing, in English.

Responsibilities

  • Review and audit all activities related to medical dispensaries to ensure that all procedures, goods, and equipment comply with statutory requirements.
  • Respond to inquiries from medical dispensaries regarding compliance issues.
  • Investigate complaints and potential issues at medical dispensaries.
  • Conduct follow-up inspections as assigned.
  • Assist with inspection activities related to cultivation, processing, dispensing, delivery, storage, and seed-to-sale operations of treatment centers to ensure that all procedures, goods, and equipment comply with statutory requirements.
  • Prepare written reports to document inspection findings.
  • Initiate notices of noncompliance and work with management to communicate and resolve findings.
  • Serve as point of contact with medical dispensaries on compliance actions for inspection related deficiencies.
  • Provide education to facilities on compliance requirements as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.
