Inventory Warehouse materials expediter
About The Position
The employee in this position will be responsible for loading and unloading truck and trailers of material. Should be able to operate a forklift. Should have general knowledge of warehouse operations such as picking and pulling orders. The ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds is required. Work environment includes company warehouse, plant, or production areas with periods of continual standing or walking. The ability to read and understand information and ideas presented in writing is required. Pre-employment drug screening will be required post offer. We are family-oriented and believe in teamwork. Responsibilities
- Unloading and load trucks for delivery
- Store away incoming material in the proper place.
- Verify packing slip with incoming product
- Follow safety rules and work procedures.
- Position blocks and/or tie a rope around items to secure cargo during transit.
- Cleans work area
- Performs other duties as needed.
- Pulls order from picking sheet
- Processes all boxes and palletizes shipments for outbound freight services such as UPS- FEDEX- DEDICATED TRUCK
- Receives and assists with checking inbound freight traffic
- Conducts periodic inventory counts
- Ensures that inventory items are not put in stock from receiving until they are properly received
- Advises inventory manager of discrepancies on inventory
- Ensures inventory is stocked according to size and or type of product
- Keep warehouse floors swept and clean from debris
