About The Position

Neumayer Equipment is looking for an Inventory & Warehouse Manager with a strong accounting background. The Inventory and Warehouse Manager ensures that all aspects of warehousing and inventory control for the company run smoothly. They strive to give excellent service to both our customers and other departments within the company. They ensure that all parts and equipment are organized, accounted for, and quickly disseminated to where they are needed. They gain efficiencies to help the department to grow.

  • Employees with a technical background can help with emergency and seasonal items as well as general stock.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure that the proper levels of stock are maintained both in the warehouses and on the trucks.
  • Regularly review standard inventories.
  • Standard inventory review for trucks can be done in conjunction with cycle counts.
  • Actively try to sell or return unneeded stock.
  • Perform cycle counts bi-annually for all trucks and warehouses.
  • Ensure that inventory costs get updated with manufacturer price increases.
  • Ensure that all parts ordered for service orders (work orders) are ordered correctly and in a timely manner.
  • Use the “Parts” board in Automated Service to monitor.
  • The Parts Department is responsible for all work orders in PRT or ORD status. These work orders need to be followed up on regularly and updates noted on the work order.
  • Ensure that all inventory parts for service orders are shipped by the end of the day and that tracking information is noted on the service order.
  • Ensure that all parts received for service orders are shipped immediately or placed on the work order (service order) shelf.
  • Ensure stock pulls (truck replenishment) are done daily.
  • Ensure that all parts are ordered in a timely manner for sales orders.
  • Find new ways and new customers to boost parts sales.
  • Ensure that all parts and equipment needed for jobs are ordered correctly and promptly when the job is sent by the accounting department.
  • Ensure that all parts received for jobs are noted in Job Cost and staged.
  • Job staging involves pulling stock from the material list immediately, transferring to the job, and organizing with the job # clearly marked.
  • Organize received materials for jobs with the pulled stock and clearly mark with the job #.
  • Check off material on the material list as it is pulled and received for jobs.
  • Store the material list with the job parts.
  • Ensure that any parts returned for jobs are clearly marked and taken off the job by the accounting department.
  • Decide with the CFO whether returned parts should be returned to the vendor or added to inventory.
  • Ensure that all general procedures for receiving are strictly followed.
  • Open every box, count the parts, and compare to the packing slip.
  • Report any discrepancies to the manufacturer right away.
  • Check equipment received (especially dispensers and imaging material) for damage before the carrier leaves.
  • Ensure receipts are done in Sage and updated daily.
  • Receive parts to fulfill warranties using an inventory adjustment.
  • Ensure that all warranty parts and cores are handled according to the vendor’s specifications and within their timeframe.
  • Make sure there is an organized place for local technicians to return warranty parts and cores.
  • Make sure the branches ship warranty parts and cores weekly using the packing slip provided.
  • Fill out a sticker and place it on each part so the parts department knows what they are for.
  • Keep cores in one organized place and in an orderly manner until needed.
  • Ensure that all inventory items not already posted to a job or work order are checked in and out of the warehouse as technicians come and go.
  • Give excellent service to all customers (including our own internal team).
  • Go out of our way to find solutions to problems and get parts where they are needed quickly.
  • Ensure that the warehouse and yard are clean and organized.
  • Ensure that tools and equipment are maintained and orderly.
  • Work closely with the management team on constant improvements.
