POSITION SUMMARY AND SCOPE: Supports Supply Chain Management and Plant Operation Supervisors in their efforts to eliminate the causes that affect inventory accuracy. This position will play a major role in gaining traction in the goal to improve location layout and inventory placement. KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Always maintains a forward-looking focus in preparing for future physical audits. More than average/novice skills in working with Microsoft Office tools like Excel-Word-Outlook. Experience with creating basic (or better) spreadsheets, charts, and data manipulation. Perform supply chain activities related to a production environment inventory including raw materials, kitting, and finished goods. May also deal with non-production materials like supplies and engineering equipment. Monitors inventory location activities using both physical and system driven analysis to identify ways to reduce inventory inaccuracies. Conducts inventory cycle counts, consolidations, and 5S activities in areas assigned, eventually becoming familiar with all areas. Delivers and replenishes Supply Chain Inventory location supplies based on orders generated by departments or Supply Chain Staff. Arranges, receives, processes and distributes supplies and equipment. Assists Supply Chain Customers as needed for accurate product selection, support and need. Assists Supply Chain Leadership by communicating Receiving and Inventory Status and all pertinent information necessary for supply distribution. Utilizing computer technology software and devices, enters all inventory data necessary into Supply Chain Management software system (JDE). May participate in the receiving process of various shipments from Vendors via couriers, carriers, Federal Express, UPS, and any type of delivery companies by management of Bill-Of-Lading, Packing Slip and all other information-processing systems. Work with the Receiving team to resolve issues that pertain to inventory discrepancies, put-away questions, locating lost material, checking Bill of Lading, packing list, and PO labels. May utilize a variety of material handling equipment including but not limited to manually operated pallet jacks, electric pallet jacks, order pickers, stackers, forklifts, hand trucks, floats, and pushcarts. Adheres to OSHA standards while maintaining required material handling licensure, certifications and training. Maintains safe, clean and organized work environment. Communicates effectively with all levels of staff and leadership using email/phone, and in-person presentation/explanations. Using typical office equipment like computers, printers/copiers, and RF scanners necessary for performing job assignments. May operate 35' box truck and/or cargo van. Learns, understands all other Supply Chain responsibilities as needed and necessary for job completion.
